From a coolness and fun factor, this is a straight win. The new enemies are cool as hell too, and the new marine class is fun. Firing a multimelta that deletes all armor in an AOE, just charging forward and sending enemies to hell, a melee attack that does 5 friggin stun, it is nuts. It plays like a dread, absolutely wreaking havoc. I'll try to review it from that perspective.Ĭoolness - The Dreadnaught is amazing. Ok I got it, do you know when the DLC stuff starts? I started a new campaign :) Should start quite quickly(around day 70 for me or something) - at least for me it was - those missions without the dreadnought are extremely hard so watch out Ok I got it, do you know when the DLC stuff starts? I started a new campaign :) Originally posted by Erdrick:Do you have to start a new game to turn it on? IT does have equipment and it does level up just like Grey Knights do.ĭread is really amazing though, it is just you dont get access to him all the time and those missions where you dont get him, the normal missions the difficulty is ramped on those too!Īlso there is a Techmarine you get and you can take him on all missions.Thing is he is terrible compared to your Greyknights, even the Apoc is pretty much better and well he is just your healer/buff support.įrom what I have seen gotta level that Techmarine up to support the dread but you have to figure out how and on what missions you should carry the Techmarine on to get his levels.Example the immediate first Technophage mission is a bad mission to bring a carry on! The Dread is only used in certain mission types, so you do not get free access anytime you want. Do you have to start a new game to turn it on?Īlso it has a selector switch in the options just like the tutorial so I guess there is that as well so I can have a campaign without it, since I am pretty new will probably have to play a campaign without the DLC i bought >< In the early game its the difference of fighting cultists and zombies vs Nurgle Marines.Īlso the Pod sizes are larger. This even if its weak stuff is still a massive increase in difficulty as you may not have the gear or levels you need to deal with an 8 or 12 size pod compared to a 4.
